Faster mutation rates in New World monkeys

Here, we compare direct estimates of the mutation rate across two groups of primates, the Old World monkeys and the New World monkeys. Our study adds rate estimates from the whole-genome sequencing of 8 trios across two primate species, the olive baboon (Papio anubis) and the squirrel monkey (Saimiri boliviensis).
