Does atypical cadherin CELSR1 suppress Wnt-mediated chemoattraction of branchiomotor neurons? HummelDevynn M. GlascoDerrick ChandrasekharAnand 2020
During my poster presentation I will focus on my project aimed at understanding how the nVII neurons (the neurons that control the jaw) migrate within the hindbrain. Here we use mice as a model system to study how several molecules function through a common pathway to allow for proper nVII neuron migration. I plan to specifically talk about one molecule believed to act as a cue guiding neurons to their proper destination as well as another molecule thought to prevent migration in the wrong direction.
