<div>We have found that purified Javelin (Jv) protein bundles actin under in-vivo conditions. To study the actin-bundling activity of Jv in-vivo, we used the Drosophila ovary as a model tissue. Previously we have shown that Forked causes asymmetric actin bundle network in the Drosophila oocyte (Baskar et al. 2019). In our recent studies, we found that the ectopic expression of Jv in the Drosophila oocyte enhances the actin-bundling activity of Forked. Furthermore, co-expressing Jv with both Forked and Fascin resulted in an increased length and thickness of these actin bundles.</div>
